SiteMods provides custom website development and related professional services. Because this work is created, scheduled, and performed for a particular client, it is not returnable in the same way as a physical product. This policy explains the general approach to cancellations and refunds.
Project Agreements Control
A proposal, statement of work, service agreement, or other written project agreement may contain project-specific payment, cancellation, acceptance, and refund terms. Those agreed terms control if they differ from this general policy.
Deposits and Reserved Work
Deposits and retainers are generally non-refundable once SiteMods has reserved project time, begun planning, acquired resources, or started work, unless the applicable project agreement states otherwise. Fees for completed work and committed time are not refundable.
Cancellation Before Work Begins
If a client needs to cancel before work begins, the client should contact SiteMods promptly. Any available refund will be determined under the project agreement after accounting for non-refundable deposits, completed planning or administration, reserved time, and costs already committed on the client's behalf.
Ongoing and Prepaid Services
Cancellation and any credit for unused prepaid maintenance, support, hosting, or other ongoing services are handled according to the applicable service agreement. Work already performed during a billing period remains payable.
Third-Party Costs
Domain registrations, hosting, licenses, subscriptions, stock assets, transaction fees, and other third-party purchases are not refundable by SiteMods after they have been purchased or committed. Any refund offered by a third-party provider is subject to that provider's terms.
Concerns With Work
If completed work does not match the agreed scope, please notify SiteMods promptly and provide enough detail to review the concern. When appropriate, SiteMods will first have a reasonable opportunity to correct work covered by the agreement. New requests or changes outside the agreed scope may require a separate estimate.
Approved Refunds
When a refund is approved, it will ordinarily be returned through the original payment method when practical. Processing time may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.
